Weekend Review

This weekend...

was freezing

we were at the baseball field at 9, again at 12 and stayed till 4

the boys got really sick Saturday night and I may have to hire a carpet cleaner before we move. I'm also super glad our next house has hardwoods leading to the bathrooms (I had a towel trail to the bathroom but it doesn't work very well when your husband lays them in the playroom instead of their bed and you don't know about it)

i did my first craigslist sale and didn't die like chris predicted.

we had a date night for coffee and dessert and then drove by our new house. T-17 days, and we are still negioating and hiring painters, contractors, etc.

chris worked a lot this weekend and has yet to do our taxes. He's a CPA, but he's not a tax guy. He's pretty excited about the extra weekend to get them done.

Hope your weekend was great! I'm hoping the weather will warm up, our taxes will get done, and the house stuff will move on smoothly.

Perfect Mom Clothes Finds

The change from winter to spring always makes me want to shop. I get so excited for the days outside and the warm weather. I had a few gift cards left over from Christmas did a little shopping recently. I have a few requirements for mom clothes: 1) must cover a muffin top - I don't care how high waisted jeans are, there's pudge 2) must be able to handle spills, markers, and ketchup and 3) there must be a way to wear some sort of undergarment underneath. I don't have much up top, but I've nursed three kids so what I do have needs help.

Here's my recently finds to take me from spring to summer (or through summer, I'm pretty cold natured).

My new favorite shirt. It's so soft and has swing to it. There's also cute panel details on the side.

Great with a sweater for when it's cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon.

Warm weather = Lilly prints.

I shared this dress before, and it arrived and it's everything I hoped it would be. SO cute! And bonus, it's Old Navy and lined!

It's a cardigan. 'nough said.

Love the print on these!
I pair them with my favorite Carolina Blue shirt (poor Heels :( love those guys).

Now I need to find some great summer sandals, flats and nothing with an ankle strap or ties (I can't pull of either of those trends). Any recs?

Spring Break

Our spring break felt like it lasted a month, but in a good way. It started with Easter festivities and ended with T turning 6 (and having our last birthday bash at our current home). In the middle there was a trip to Grandma and Grandpas, the Natural Science Center, the pool, and the first baseball game of the season. Today, the boys headed off to school (reluctantly) and I think we are all looking forward to a summer schedule in just a few months.

The children's Easter service at church on Saturday. The kindergarteners tell the story of Easter, T was a guard.

After the service there are baby animals on the green. My kids loved the turtles.
