Surprising N at lunch! He buys once a week and has asked to show me how he goes through the lunch line. He loves to be independent.
I always have a dinner helper these days.
It's rare for daddy to make it home before bedtime so having him read stories (especially Junie B) is a big deal. I ordered a box set of 4 Junie B's that arrived Friday and the first one was finished Saturday morning.
Over the long weekend, both sides of grandparents visited and we taught T's sweet class in Sunday School.
With two days off from school, N was reunited with one of his favorite preschool friends on Monday. It was so sweet seeing them together again.
We had a frozen yogurt treat and it was even warm enough to eat outside!! Bring on the summer weather (I realize it's January).
We started the N's second day off from school with a special treat of cinnamon rolls and bagels. Then headed to the playground at his old school. Some preschool buddies he hadn't seen since summer had the same idea. What I'd planned on lasting half and hour ending up lasting an hour and a half (these really are the best days - the ones where schedules just don't matter and it's warm enough to enjoy the sunshine)
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Tonight we return to our usual routine with piano lessons and tomorrow morning we go back to making lunches and avoiding the tardy bell (and looking forward to spring break and then SUMMER).
